Sometimes less is more. Other times, like in the case of powerful pop collaborations, we have no problem with more being more. 2010 found many stars teaming up for some potent pop magic. From Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love The Way You Lie” to Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s “Telephone” to Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg’s “California Gurls,” collaborations were huge and took over the charts. Those chart-toppers were obviously hot, but there were other, more under the radar match-ups just as blazing. Take a listen to 10 of our not-so-obvious favorite pop collaborations of the year.

Eminem and Lil Wayne – No Love: When two rap heavyweights get together, you’d expect the outcome to be awesome. Eminem and Weezy didn’t disappoint with this heavy-hitter taken from Em’s Recovery album.

Chris Brown featuring Drake, T.I., Kanye West, Fabolous, Andre 3000 - Deuces (Remix): As if Breezy’s ice cold kiss-off track wasn’t hot enough in its original form with Tyga and Kevin McCall, CB enlisted, like, everybody to lay down brash verses of their own on the remix. He even had the power to bring Andre 3000 out of hiding. That alone makes the “Deuces” remix epic.

La Roux featuring Kanye West – In For The Kill (Remix): To follow up their smash “Bulletproof,” Elly Jackson and Co. chose “In For The Kill.” Potent enough of worm its way into pop fans’ brains with just La Roux, the remix features none other than Kanye West, who puts his stamp on the production and adda a colorful oh-so-Kanyerific verse.

Nicki Minaj featuring Eminem – Roman’s Revenge: Hey Slim Shady, meet Roman Zolanski. The alter egos of Nicki and Em got together for one insanely manic track that oozed brilliant one-liners for days.

Justin Bieber featuring Usher – Somebody To Love (Remix): Adding a big name to a remix can sometimes backfire, but when mentor and protege got together for this remix, it totally worked. Usher made the original version of “Somebody To Love” obsolete and made a few of the older ladies join the Bieber Army.

Bruno Mars featuring Damien Marley – Liquor Store Blues: Bruno is having a bad day and the only thing that will make it OK is a drink. Damien Marley helps Bruno get trashed on this island-flavored jam.

Usher featuring Jay-Z – Hot Tottie: So their collaboration on “Best Thing” for Ush’s album Here I Stand wasn’t the best thing, but they made up for the let down with “Hot Tottie.” The smoldering and sexy track has he best of both worlds with Usher’s luscious voice and an appearance from the rap king that is Jigga.

Robyn and Snoop Dogg – U Should Know Better: Snoop Dogg may have topped the charts by teaming with Katy Perry on “California Gurls,” but it was his tasty electro pop-meets-hip hop collabo with Swedish pop darling Robyn where he was utilized to his cool-ass fullest. The two issue warnings to anyone who dares that they should know better not to f*ck with them. This one is unf*ckwithable hotness.

Slim Thug featuring  B.o.B – So High: Slim Thug brings his southern charms while B.o.B lays down the smoothest flow for a certified club-banger. Admittedly, B.o.B. is the real star on this track but without someone like Slim to play off of, we doubt this song would have been as irresistible.

Enrique Iglesias and Nicole Scherzinger – Heartbeat: Ballads continued to be a draw for Enrique even when he decided to get all dance-pop on us with his new album. With former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger by his side, the two delivered one sexy duet.
